请问老师目前分词作结果状语从句是否需要那个结果是立刻产生的，也就是说主句和从句需要几乎同时发生。He never cared about health, getting several disease now.像这个由于之前行为致使的结果可以用目前分词表示吗？或者，He wore slippery shoes, then falling down into the river.如此和主句存在时间差的结果可以吗？
“时间”问题只须逻辑上通就能。

表达结果的动词不是随意用的，这里的get用错了，得病的是“人”，而你用get则代表”他不关系健康”这个事情生病了。事情是不会生病的。因为是长期行为的结果，为了行文的流畅，大家还要加上eventually.
因此改为
He never cared about his health, eventually making him vulnerable to diseases.
